Three Months OLD!

Wow.

Three months TODAY.

It feels like just yesterday I was looking at the face of a newborn...well, this...
At the same time, its hard for me to remember what life was like before he was born...
Oh, now I remember. Ack!..

He's been a tough little guy to figure out, but finally, FINALLY, I feel like I can go to the grocery store, go to a restaurant, or hire a babysitter without freaking out that he might possibly to scream the whole time. In fact, he's turned into a very happy baby. Just stick him on a blanket on the floor and (usually) he's happy for at least 20 minutes.
Also, my thanks goes out to the makers of Graco for the many naps that Caleb has enjoyed in his car seat. He sleeps like a log in it. Car rides are also amazing things. Shove the little tike in the car and five minutes later, he's out like a light. Then, when you need to make it to a doctor's appointment or something, you can take his bed with you and he'll sleep through the whole thing! Lovely.
As of today, Caleb weighs 14 lbs!! I did some checking and I weighed 13 lbs. 10 oz. when I was three months old and Kyle weighed 14 lbs. 8 oz. at three months. So, Caleb is the happy medium of his parents. Can you believe it? I know Caleb can't.
I've also put away most of his 0-3 months clothing and he's graduated to a diaper size-2 a week ago. He looks like less of a baby and more like a little boy. I'm a little freaked out by that. He's growing up really fast!
His personality has just blown through the roof. He smiles constantly and I've even heard him laugh a couple of times. When he's in new places he always pulls out the "inquisitive" look.
He loves it when I bicycle his legs and arms, taking baths, eating, and laying around. He kicks his legs like crazy. Lately he's gone to bed near the top of the crib where I lay him, but when he wakes up he's way at the bottom. Also, when he cries at night or in the morning he usually stops crying and gives me huge smiles when I come into his room.

Yep, that is the remains of a huge, gigantic spit-up fest. He still does it, and mommy still does TONS of laundry.

His hair is still monstrously crazy. At least he has some though, right?
He loves to stand (with help of course). We're even working on sitting right now.

I think we enjoy the faceplants a little too much. :) Oops.

Sammy just turned 9 months yesterday, but it seems like only yesterday when we brought him home from the hospital. It's amazing how quickly they grow, isn't it? Caleb looks like such a sweet, handsome little boy. He has the cutest little facial expressions. I think it's so special that he got baptized in that special outfit that his daddy wore! Rachel said the baptism was really wonderful... I'm so happy it went well!
