Caleb and Madelyn were going on their first date together. Caleb was as nervous as could be. Madelyn was such a cutie. He considered himself lucky she even said "yes" when he asked her out yesterday. Caleb had rented the coolest blue convertible he could find so he might impress her.
When he came over to pick Madelyn up, she was impressed.
"Caleb!" She exclaimed. "This is such a nice car! I love how shiny and blue it is! May I touch it?"
"Sure." Caleb said smiling as he realized he had indeed made a good first impression. "Now, why don't we get in?"
Caleb starting climbing in only to realize he was supposed to let Madelyn in first. Madelyn pretended she didn't notice his mistake even though she did. She could see he was embarrassed and she really liked him. He was such a cutie and all the other babes at play group would be jealous if they knew she was going on a date with Caleb!
Once they were both in, Caleb started up the car and headed for the park. He wasn't very familiar with this car so he had to focus on driving instead of striking up conversation. The pesky steering wheel was a little rusty and hard to turn. Madelyn, always the easy-going gal, didn't mind the quiet. She was too busy enjoying the breeze from the top down as they rode around and around.
After a while of driving, Caleb got the hang of it and nervously allowed himself to talk.
"So Madelyn," he said, "I was thinking of going to the park. What do think about that?"
"Oh, that sounds wonderful!" she said as she inched a little closer to Caleb.
They enjoyed a fine conversation after that, talking about everything from their favorite things to chew on to the best ways to make their mommies fed up and allow them chew on the piece of junk mail already.
After about an hour of driving, Caleb parked the car and turned to Madelyn.
"Uhhh, I don't know how to say this," he muttered, "but I think I'm lost."
Madelyn inched even closer to Caleb and put her hands on his shoulders.
"It's okay to ask for directions." she said.
Caleb pulled up to a gas station, asked for directions, and got to the park with-in minutes.
They enjoyed the park immensely. After a picnic of apple juice in sippy cups with puff cereal and graham cracker sticks they took a walk. Caleb saw a big turtle and decided to show off his turtle-riding skills to Madelyn. Madelyn giggled shyly, clapped her hands and waved to him.
After that they decided to go to the rolling block wall so they could roll some blocks. Madelyn usually wasn't such a forward girl, but she couldn't help but put her hand on Caleb's back. She was having so much fun with him.
Seeing his opportunity arise, Caleb decided that this was it! It was time for him to make his move! He started reaching his arm around to grab her and give her a big wet kiss but he accidentally hit her square in the face!!
The End.
(Sorry, I didn't have any more pictures. I know. It's a cliff hanger.)
