My mom says he has the biggest beautiful baby-eyes ever. I guess they're alright.
Mom wouldn't let me touch Jacob that much though. I was good the whole time I was there, even though I hardly got any sleep. This was basically the only chance I got to touch him. I mean, all I wanted to do was climb over him and maybe squeeze him a bit. That's what buddies do isn't it?
O well. I guess I really didn't care all that much. While mom and Krissie hung out, I played really well by myself. I was so excited to see stairs!! We don't have any at our place and I climbed all the way to the fourth step!
On the way back home, we stopped at Grandpa and Grandma's house. I took a very much needed 2 1/2 hour nap on the way there. When I woke up, mom decided to stop at a rest stop and let me crawl around for a while. The leaves tasted pretty good.
When we got to Grandpa and Grandma N's house, I found a WHOLE bunch of toys just begging to be played with! They even let me keep some!! Mom muttered something about me having way too many toys already but I say, "Bring 'em on!"
This was one of my favorite things to play with. I loved spinning the globe around and around. THIS was a lot of fun too! Grandpa gave me a long ride in the wagon. I got sick of being in the back of the coaster, so by the end of the ride I was on my knees, holding the front edges.
This was something else G & G N had for me. A TRACTOR!! My feet don't touch the bottom yet, but hopefully when I get it for Christmas my feet will be long enough to reach the floor.
Guess what? Mom let me eat my first french fry! It had a weird taste, but it didn't really care. I was really tired while I was at Grandpa and Grandmas. I was happy a lot, but I was very tired a lot too. Mom gave me a french fry to keep me happy. It did the trick--for a while.
Mom and grandma went shopping and had a lot of fun while Grandpa and I hung out. I gave him kiss after kiss after kiss. I think mom was a little jealous, but she has to understand that I don't see my grandparents all the time.
I slept for 2 hours on the way home. Then I cried the rest of the way. 1 hour. I was mad that mom shoved me in the car seat again. I was tired and I wanted to see my dad already! I missed him so much after being gone for three days! When we got home I was so happy! Everything was just like I remembered!! I climbed up to my toy box, grabbed a bunch of toys and threw them out one by one. It was so good to be home--but I had a lot of fun on our trip!

ONE HOUR? Wow. I think I might've had to get a hotel.. did you just turn the music up? :P
riandkyleTo be honest, that was nothing compared to another time we came home from Iowa. He cried 1 hour and forty-five minutes. It was torturous for all of us because he wanted out and we couldn't do anything. Evenually we stopped at two rest stops, but what else can you do when you're only an hour away?
Wow... Caleb's vocabulary is really great for someone who can't even talk yet. Maybe Mom helps with the big words. Great stories!
