Our Vacation: Part III

I became the "Aunt Sharon" of our Thanksgiving trip.
My Aunt Sharon is my mom's oldest sister from New York, and whenever she comes to visit us, she carries her huge bulky camera around her neck and would take pictures of anything and everything at the get-together.

Now, living in Nebraska, I've since appreciated her art of family-picture-taking. I figure if I can't remember what I did most of yesterday, I probably won't remember a lot of the family memories, as good as they are. Plus, since Kyle has been doing some work on his genealogy, pictures of family seem like a rare and precious jewel.

My point is, I took a lot of pictures and probably annoyed a lot of people. But frankly, I think, (I hope!) all my pictures will be fun to look at when we're all old and gray, God willing.

Okay, my tangent is over.

Now you get to see only a tiny weeny fraction of all the pictures I took on the rest of the trip.

My sister, Angie, decided to make Caleb perdy with her pink headband. She didn't want me to take a picture of her un-makeup-ee face, but I got her fabulous volleyball-coach arm. You can tell she does a lot of bumpin' and spikin' with that arm.
Caleb wanted to show me his bottem teeth so he pointed to them, just in case I didn't know where they were.
With the headband back to her original owner, I decide to take a better picture with two faces instead of one, like before. (Refer to first picture if confused.) Whaddaya know it, I got three faces instead. That would be my brother, Chad.
Awww, what the heck! I might as well join in the fun. (I'm air-kissing Caleb, mind you. Not Ang.)
We went back to Minnesota where Kyle went along with his dad, brother, and cousins to pheasant hunt. It's hard to say what Caleb thought of the pheasant. AND NOW....FOR WHAT YOU'VE ALLLL BEEN WAITING FOR!!!

The GREAT TRIATHALON of THANKSGIVING 2007!!!!!!!!

We had a great, huge, contest between Kyle's family in billiards, bowling, and---that's right--ARM WRESTLING!!!!!!

It started off between Kyle's dad (aka Grandpa) and Orey. Orey won, hands down. Oooooohoooo, heeeee. I'm so funny. Get it?? Hands down?? Next came me and Kyle's mom (aka Grandma).

I lost. Horribly.

But wait!! It's double elimination!!!!!

Blast. Am I the only one that seems to be trying here?
Fortunately, Kyle pulls through to beat his mom to go onto the Championship ROUND between Kyle and Orey! Muscles seem to be taking up half this picture!!
It was a fight to the finish and Orey won the entire match. Kudos, Orey!

Next came pool. I lost. Again.

Josh (middle) won. Yay Josh! Next came bowling. Josh came in a close second to Grandpa. Look at that form!

I got a 74. That's good, right?
Caleb even gave it0 a try.

The trip was lovely. It was challenging at times, but mostly it was just plain fun.

Now that we're home, Caleb has transitioned nicely. He has a cruddy nose and a slight cold from the trip, but maybe it was because he was teething the entire time. See?? Almost all four top teeth are in!!
