Stick with me. You'll want to get to the end.

I tend to pride myself on this being somewhat of a picture blog.  Back in the day when Caleb was an only child I literally took at least 10 pictures per day.  The average was probably about 30.  "That's the beauty of the digital age," I thought.  "I can take all the pictures I want!"
Then Isaiah came.  Life got busier and the pictures went from 0-5 on an average day.  So many things are happening and my camera is getting dusty.  I'd love to show you pictures of the zoo Caleb created and the mess Isaiah made when he threw down an entire prepped pan of pizza bagels ready to be thrown into the over.  Or the little morning faces the boys have right when they wake up and the messy faces Isaiah makes when he eats spaghetti or pizza or ice cream or pretty much anything that comes in contact with his mouth.

The fact is, rushing for my camera has stopped being an instant reaction.  I might have reached for the camera a little too much in the beginning.  What, my child is crying?  Take a picture and then hold him.  He's getting into the garbage?  Grab the camera and then take the old banana peel out of his mouth.
I really really never thought Isaiah would have the No Pictures Because I'm Not The First Child thing going on.  He has, and I can only guess what the third will go through.  "Mom, what did I look like when I was two?"  "Not sure.  Maybe you can look at a picture of one of your brothers at two and squint your eyes a little."

All that's to say, we've had a LOT going on this past month.  I took pictures of these things too!  Although they happen to be the only four times I took out my camera this month.

We got a van!  We saw the ad in the newspaper.  She's a beaut, ain't she?  Thirteen years old, one owner, 67,000 miles.  I don't mind being a van lady, in fact I'm rather proud to be one.  Just gotta name this perdy lady and the purchase will be complete--that and receiving the title.

We went to a Huskers game!  It was a bit chilly but we had so much fun.  The Huskers won and our hand warmers kept our hands toasty.

My boys get along sometimes!

And sometimes they're good together but up to NO good.  I told Caleb to go potty and when he didn't come back for some time I went to investigate.  Apparently Kyle had left his shaving gel a little to low.  (I did a little PG editing and gave Caleb some neon shorts.  He has a thing with forgetting pull up his pants after he pees.)

Kyle is in the process of filling out job applications.  He'll graduate with his PhD in math this May if all goes as planned and wants to pursue an academic career at a college or university.  Filling out applications, making cover letters and research statements and teaching statements and so on is a tedious full time job in itself.  Hopefully we'll be hearing from someone in the next few months and the interviews will begin.

Yesterday we took a drive to visit one of the colleges he was applying for.  It was a gorgeous campus and it seemed like a place he could enjoy being at.

Um, what else?  We have an infestation of weird looking cockroaches.  They're annoying and stinky little buggers to kill.  Kyle went on a rampage this week and showed the little devils who's boss.   Hopefully they'll be gone forever.

Oh yeah, and I'm pregnant!

I'm 11 weeks along and doing much better than before.  I wasn't feeling good and taking care of the boys took more than all of my energy.  Nonetheless, not feeling good is a GREAT thing. I already heard our little one's heartbeat, which is the most amazing thing ever and never ceases to blow me away.

I'm due June 7--it'll be my first summer baby.  I'm excited!  I eat all day long.  Until last week, if I didn't eat, I was really nauseous instead of semi-nauseous.  I didn't like the taste/smell of coffe, I did like the smell of random foods, I sort of like the smell of meat frying (weird), and went for anything that consisted of sugar and/or bread.  Needless to say I think I've gained a few pounds.

I'm sure Jay would LOVE if there was an excercauser at mom's, but if you don't have room- don't worry about it.

Sounds like your having a girl with all the morning sickness. I hope you do. I want to get out all of Clarabelle's old clothes and see your child wear them. We'd love to see you over thanksgiving weekend, but we understand if there is no time. Matt or I will probably be calling you in the next couple days. Congrats again. P.S. Love the van.

Congratulations on Baby #3! I don't know if you saw my blog or facebook, but we're going for #5 in July (13th, so we're just about a month apart!). My morning sickness has already been a lot worse than with the 4 boys, but I don't know what that means. We go in on the 30th to get an u/s and I'm really hoping they don't find 2 in there because that will mean we will have to get rid of our van and that will make me sad!

And, yes, everyone wants to know if we're hoping for and praying for a girl, and the answer is I'd almost feel more comfortable if we have another BOY!
