December 9

December Photo Project: December 9
Practicing lines for his Christmas Program
"I love the stars that twinkle bright.
I love the stars on Christmas night.
Christmas night is for me too.
Jesus came for me it's true.
Thank you, God for what you've done.
Thank you, God for your own son."

December Photo Project: Real Life Edition
Feeling horrible.  (Note the baby powder on his ear.  Isaiah sprinkled it on him during his nap.)

I also wanted to add this picture.  I've been struggling with self pity lately.  I've been down about how hard raising three small children is.  I took this to my Bible study group and one of them suggested a Thankful Jar.  Basically every time you feel, "why me, why again?" just think of something that you're thankful for.  For example, Isaiah is screaming in his bed, refusing to take a nap.  Instead of thinking how awful I have it, I can thank God for a healthy little boy with a good bunch of energy to put up a fuss.  It sounds incredibly corny but it REALLY works.  I've found that I have more of a thankful heart towards God, not just during the difficult moments in life, but throughout the day.

Here's my Thankful Jar.  If I feel especially down, I can look at all the things I'm thankful for.

Love the stuffed animals practicing. Kyle- Isn't it crazy when you can actually take a break from working hard, your body breaks down and gets sick? It happens to me all the time as a teacher. I love the lights next to the jar. Lori- you are so "pintrest" worthy:)
