Isaiah. Oh, Isaiah. How do I sum up Isaiah's 3rd year of life? It feels like a billion things happened in one year. He went from a diaper cladded, dependent toddler to a potty-trained, rationalizing, well understood, independent boy. I wish I could remember some of the funny things he says now, but I don't write them down--which I need to! Here are a couple I can think of right off the top of my head.
Kyle: Caleb, where were you born?
Caleb: Lincoln
Kyle: Isaiah, where were you born?
Isaiah: Ummmm. At a gas station in Who (Sioux) Falls.
(This is news to me.)
Isaiah: Mommy, if you do this I have a secret to tell you.
Me: Okay, now what's your secret?
Isaiah: The secret is I don't know what this secret is.
We recently celebrated his 4th birthday in style with Star Wars cupcakes. Kyle's parents braved The Great 2013 Snow Storm of Kansas City to get from our brand new baby nephew, Bennett's place, to our house.
The kids got to help with making the cupcakes.
Isaiah really enjoyed a bit of cupcake with his frosting. (Liv too.)
And to top them off, we added "light savers". These were perfect for the fighting as we pretended to be "Dark Vadar" and Luke Skywalker.

Gotta bring back the Sid Face in there with Grandpa.
Like I said before--a teeeeny bit of cupcake with his frosting.
Isaiah received a remote control Lightning McQueen car from his Uncle Orey as well as a smart phone toy and soccer goal and ball from Grandpa and Grandma Fey.
The kids with our birthday guests! Grandpa and Grandma and Uncle Orey!
Thanks for coming out and celebrating with us, guys!

What a fun 4th birthday party! Wondering if Isaiah will change as much from 4-5 as he did from 3-4? NIce to see you had some cold air returns installed? Do you think you can tell a difference?
