This morning I was trying to teach Caleb about saying, "Mine!" Surprisingly, he's gone 2 1/2 years without learning it--until recently, that is.
"Caleb," I said, "Did you know that everything in the world is God's? Our house is God's, our car is God's and even your toys are God's toys. He just lets us live in and play with them. So we don't say 'mine' because it really isn't even ours--and it's not nice either."
"God is?" He asked. It was his way of asking me who or where God was.
"Well," I began. "God is the one who owns everything--"
He cut me off knowingly. "Mommy is god."
Sheesh. How do you explain who God is and WHERE God is to a toddler? Parenting is tricky stuff.

That's such a useful misbelief; I'm not sure I'd try to convince him otherwise just yet! lol
