Documenting my family has almost faded out completely here on this blog.
Time has gotten more and more precious and I've been trying to spend more of it with them.
These pictures are in no way a good representation of us. Most are of the good times. I have a habit of not documenting the bad times, the selfish times, the pee-on-the-floor times, the pushing-each-other-over-times, the I-won't-eat-anything-but-candy times, the all-I-want-is-five-minutes-of-peace times, the you-win-go-and-watch-tv times...
You get the picture.
But we have fun too. Nothing fancy. Just a bit of hippie tree climbing and bare feet--at least two out of three
And precious faces
A bit of pretend and imagination
And a bit of running through life as fast as we can.
We sometimes play together well
And some days we need a bit more coffee to get through the day.
Some days life is as simple as feeding the fish.
Other days are not at all how you want them to go or look.
But when the day's ride is over
And the evening comes to a close
I hope we can look back...
And know that God has given us each other and helped us accomplish more than we ever imagined we could.
And even the mess and embarrassment of life
Cannot take His love for us away.
And that is something I hope my family will know for the rest of their lives. Happy times or not.

Oh my this was so sweet!! I can remember Caleb so small like that, too, but I can't seem to remember my own kids that small.
THE MATH. Holy. Cow.

Yep - that's real life - the not so good times along with the good. Keeps us humble and thankful. Grandma F.
